We’re a family run smaller boat. The best thing about The Mermaid is you will leave your day out at sea with unique experience rather than beginning just a number. You will be personally greeted by the captain upon boarding. Since we’re a smaller boat we enter inside the caves at no extra charge. You’re able to view the caves & take pictures. We’re all about customer experience aboard the Mermaid and we will do our utmost to ensure you enjoy your day out at sea and make sure it’s the highlight of your holiday!

What To Expect
Blue Lagoon
You will board the boat at 10:00am at Bugibba Jetty. The boat leaves the jetty at 10:30am and sets out for the full day cruise. Cruising up the coastline you will have a spectacular views of the Maltese coastline. We are a smaller boat you will be able to enter into the caves at no extra charge. The boat enters the cave so you will have the opportunity to take pictures. Your first stop will be at the famous Blue Lagoon Comino. Where you will have the opportunity to swim, snorkel & dive into the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Once docked at Comino you can dive and jump from the boat. You can discover the land of Comino by foot. For lunch there is a snack bar onboard that sells food and drink and has toilet facilities.

Island of Gozo
After 1 hour on Comino you will board the The Mermiad, where you will sail to your second stop Mgarr Harbour, Gozo. As the boats sails into the harbour we recommend you have your cameras at the ready to take pictures of the breath taking Island of Gozo. You will have the opportunity to do as you please on the Island of Gozo, exploring and immersing yourself in the Gozitan culture. At the mentioned time, in the harbour The Mermaid will be ready to continue your boat cruise. On the way back down to Malta the boat sails through the Comino channel taking in more beautiful caves like, giant octopus cave, open top face cave and the crystal lagoon. Before stopping at your next destination.

You will stop in the historical islands of St Pauls for 30 minute stop. You'll have the opportunity to swim on the secluded island. You can also walk and see the statue of St Paul at the top. The captain will beep the horn and we will return you back to the island of Malta. On your return to Malta you can view the Maltese coastline and beautiful town of Bugibba. We will arrive back at 6pm, when your delightful day on the Mermaid will come to an end.

The trip was amazing! Because of the smaller size of the boat we‘ve been able to see a lot more things than usually! Driving along and inside the caves was my personal favorite. I would recommend to take a seat in the front if the weather is good.
And the crew was amazing. Always happy to give tips and background information. We would definitely do it again!

This is the 2nd time I’ve done a boat trip in Malta and this one by far was the best one for people we want to come and explore the island. The views were spectacular and the whole experience itself was incredible. This boat actually takes you up close and into the caves, also going to Gozo, the blue lagoon and St. Paul’s island ( not a lot of boats take you here) also lots of swimming opportunities and also sightseeing if swimming isn’t for you. The lads who run the boat were very hard working and gave you lots of ideas on how to spend your day and the best places to go once on the islands. Would definitely go on this boat again if I visit Malta with friends/family.

It was a nice day out. We enjoyed all d places we visited but I will advise d management of mermaids cruise to put more time to Gozo slot. We were not able to go on d bus tour because we were given just 2hrs. Captain was nice n friendly. We really enjoyed our day.

Very enjoyable and good value. A traditional smaller boat, not overcrowded, good communication from captain and a good itinerary. Blue lagoon was fabulous, warm and calm, glad we took snorkels. Gozo time was enough for a leisurely lunch at the marina, and chance to see caves and St Paul's island was interesting. Recommended.

Loved our cruise with Mermaid. The boat is not so big ,so it had that personal feel , and you get the feel of tradional Maltese boats, it was also good for going into the caves. The captain is really friendly and helpful and a good source of information. Highly recommend . We also went for a sunset cruise. It was awesome

We had a great time onboard! It’s a lovely little boat and we got to see everything we wanted to, we especially enjoyed Comino!
The only negative is that it’s sold as 20 capacity but there was at least double the number of people onboard so it was a bit cramped with not much space which was disappointing as we booked it as it said maximum of 20 guests. We would still recommend this trip though!

Fantastic boat trip

Amazing little cruise and a fantastic value for money, we got a whole days trip for less than €15 euros each. The tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable and gave some little insight’s into some of the caves that were used in films.
Would recommend using these guys instead of a larger boat company as I feel their attention to detail would be much better.

Great experience in Comino Island

We spent an amazing day on the boat and with the team. Comino and Blue Lagoon were amazing and the water was perfect! Blue Lagoon is a bit crowded but there were the possibility to jump from the boat and enjoying the wonderful water from there.
We really enjoyed the tour in the caves.
We didn’t enjoy much Gozo because the buses were not running and we didn’t do much.
We found out in the morning that there was the possibility to stop at Blue Lagoon for more hours (not going to Gozo) maybe this is the best option!

Malta in Winter

This island has lot of amazing Mediterranean views. But I suggest, not to rely on public transportation. Blue water & beautiful seacoast. Almost all the tourist destination requires little or additional walks, so I suggest not feasible for disabled people. Night life & pubs is very best in some locations. I don't liked much in Gozo, because public transportation is very limited to some locations. Blue lagoon is good for scuba, but in winter I suggest to not. But views are amazing.
