Tussen Malta en Gozo ligt het zustereiland Comino, inderdaad een paradijs voor zwemmers, snorkelaars, duikers en wandelaars. het is de perfecte plek om te ontsnappen aan de zwaar gependelde havens van Malta. We vertrekken vanaf de veerboten van Sliema en varen naar het noorden, langs de promenade van Sliema, St. Julian's Bay, St. Goerge's Bay, Qawra Bay, St. Paul's Bay en St. Paul's Island, Mellieha Bay naar het betoverende eiland Comino.
we stoppen in de blauwe lagune van Comino om te zwemmen, snorkelen, zonnebaden enz. Op onze weg terug naar Sliema zullen we enkele prachtige grotten van Comino zien.

November - mei 4 uur stoppen in Blue Lagoon
Juni - oktober * 45 minuten stoppen in Crystal Lagoon-gebied / St. Nicholas Bay en 3,5 uur in Blue Lagoon
* Stop bij Crystal Lagoon/St. Nicholas Bay is afhankelijk van het weer
2 haltes in Comino (seizoensgebonden), 1 halte bij Crystal lagoon en een andere bij Blue lagoon
Bij Blue Lagoon kan men aan land gaan of de boot als basis gebruiken

Boat has a waterslide, toilet facilities, bar with drinks and little snacks, lots of chairs inside and outside, some of outside chairs have sunroof too.
Value of the trip was great.
Lovely friendly and informative crew. When we got to the Blue Lagoon we were able to leave all our bags on the boat and used the boat as a base
We only paid €20.00 each return and found it great value
Would highly recommend Luzzu Cruises
There was narration throughout about the places and also an underwater bit of the boat which meant that you could see the sea life making it extra special
- Good value. It was 20€ - drinks and food on board seemed reasonably cheap (small local beer for 2€, hot dogs and sandwhiches..).
- Friendly crew.
Cons:
- When we arrived there were already a lot of ferries there and it was really busy. Of course there is a longer distance to cover from Sliema, but the boat also makes a trip to Gozo first because they combine the Comino Day with the Gozo+Comino trips. They should offer an earlier departure from Sliema to ensure you still get there early enough to enjoy it with a bit less people, and consider separating the two trips.
- The cabin does not have A/C. This didn't bother us as we sat outside.
- Unlike some of the other boats there are no loungers to chill on the boat during the day. This was a bit annoying because the shore is so busy there is no place to sit or chill there.
- On arrival, the boat took a little detour to drop two people off at the Grand Excelior Hotel in Valetta. We found it quite outrageous to make an entire boat wait an extra 15 min for two people to get off. To make things worse, those intending to travel onwards to Valetta were prevented from leaving the boat at the hotel Jetty. Because of the detour the boat made, a lot of the passengers missed the ferry from Sliema to Valetta. I don't know what kind of deal Luzzo has with the Hotel but they should wait until the tens of passengers are off in Sliema before going to the Excelior Hotel.
