Discover the Grand Harbour area opposite Valletta known as the Three Cities – Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea, where the Knights of St. John first settled in 1530. Driving past Cospicua we reach Vittoriosa for a guided walking tour through the narrow streets in the shade of historic buildings, including the first auberges of the various langues of the Order. At the Vittoriosa waterfront we take a typical harbour boat (dghajsa) for a tour of the colourful harbour creeks. From the Senglea Garden, situated at the tip of the peninsula, enjoy a stunning 360° view of the Grand Harbour, including the impressive Fort Sant Angelo from where Grand Master La Valette led the defence of the island during the Great Siege of 1565.

Must visit the 3 cities to understand Malta History

All was good. I liked the idea of on collection the main name was called out. Collection was however late. The commentator was excellent on English. Liked to hear the history of the three cities. Keep up the good work!

Interesting local walk

Lovely walk by local guide with lots of info - expect to be quite hot in the summer. Pick up and drop off from hotel is a bonus.

Interesting morning.

Knowledgeable guide and it was nice to be in a small group (6). the trip was about 3.5 hours but it would have been nice to have had a break built into the timetable for a short coffee stop.

Great history and boat tour.

The tour was filled with great history. The best part was the harbor boat tour which was very relaxing and nice. If going on this tour in the summer months bring a hat, good walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and an umbrella. The tour goes through some historic sites that have limited shade and Malta gets very hot. I would hope the tour can plan their talking segments around more places where there is shade during the summer months. Overall very nice tour.

Interesting and “babel” like tour…

The tour is very interesting and the boat ride around the harbor makes it more appealing. We had a mostly German speaking group and despite Sandra’s efforts of course something was lost in the middle of the babel tower. Nevertheless, was very instructive and interesting and we recommend it to anybody but with the caviat of making sure you get a mostly you language of choice group.
