Overview

Today’s guided excursion takes us to the central part of Malta, dominated by the medieval fortified city of Mdina, Malta’s former capital city. The narrow, winding streets, dating back to medieval times, lead to the imposing bastions, commanding a magnificent panorama of the island. On the way there, you will discover different styles of architecture, including Siculo-Norman palaces and other baroque buildings of great historical importance. Time stands still in this ‘Silent City’ which is a film-maker’s paradise.

Leaving Mdina through Greeks’ Gate, we stop at the early Christian catacombs in Rabat before proceeding to the cliffs at Dingli. After lunch we will visit the San Anton botanical gardens situated near the Presidential Palace, which you will be able to admire from outside. We shall also spend time at the crafts centre at Ta’ Qali. At the end of the tour, allow us to astound you with Mosta’s majestic dome, one of Europe’s largest.

Our guide, Anna was really amazing. Although we were with a group there was time to explore individually and everything was relaxing about this experience. Be prepared and bring a hat and wear light clothes if you are visiting in hot weather. Definitely recommend this if you don’t have a car and you want to learn a bit about the historical places :)
Jam packed day in the older parts of Malta

Action packed tour - we went to the gardens, dinglicliffs, Mdina, Rabat and briefly to Mosta all in one day. Saw so much in such a short space of time!
Fantastic way to see a lot of Malta in one day!

Fantastic Day! Anna was an excellent guide, and Cliff a great driver. We saw so much on this tour, including the lovely San Anton Gardens, the Dingli Cliffs, Rabat, St Paul's Catacombs, Mosta Cathedral, and wonderful Mdina. The included lunch was great too, three courses with wine. This really is a fantastic way to see a lot of Malta in one day!
10/10 recommend!

Really great trip! Was my first solo trip and this company made it really easy for me to see everything without having to find my own personal transportation everywhere. A lot of stops you only have about 15-30 min at which I thought wasn’t very much but it always turned out to be just enough time to see and do the things I wanted to do. They give you more time in places you need more time.
Good tour

We went as a couple and planned on getting as much of the must-see parts of the island done. We did do this and got around a fair bit, it's a large group you're in.
One of the issues we had was lunch wasn't arranged very well, there were a few people in our group who didn't eat meat and this seemed to be an issue as it was a set menu, fortunately this was sorted but the impression we got was this was an inconvience to the chef - it could be improved by asking for dietry requirements when booking to avoid this in the future. The restuarant is nice but it's incredibly warm and the fans were on but not aimed at the table so everyone was sweating cobs!
Was lovely to see so many parts of the island, great info given from Bernadette, really enjoyed exploring Mdina on our own for a short while. Catacombs were very interesting as was the trip to Dingli cliffs and Mdina/Rabat.
Agree with other reviews, the trip to Ta Quai craft village is boring and could be substituted for somewhere with more significant value, it's bigger than you think and there's some nice stuff but nothing we were interested in.
Mdina tour review

Organised well, I did find that the multi language tour a bit weird, as sometimes you'd have to wait a while to get the commentary and by that time you sometimes past what was being spoken about. That only happened a couple of times, somnot too bad. What was said was food, the guide was good and enthusiastic..the food wasn't the best, and was cold, as they had to serve over 50 people the same food, so was probably prepared....overall I enjoyed the day.
Good but could have been better

Enjoyed the sights offered. Intersting historical information and decent food for lunch.

Improvements:Could do without the retail outlets visits after lunch with only one more sight to visit. Felt that I might as well have done the half-day tour for nearly the same number of sights worth seeing.

At lunch it might be helpful if the tour guide did not leave for long periods and then rush breatlessly into the room telling everyone they have to move quickly. I had just bought a coffee and I had to gulp it down to leave.
Busy day with a lot to see

We really were interested in seeing the Catacombs in Rabat and the town of Mdina. The church of Mosta was a pleasant addition. We found the cliffs and the craft part was not for us. Due to our group being a large group we found that the tour guide would be speaking at the front of the group and if we were at the back we missed out. Also our tour was grouped into English and French speaking so there was a lot of speaking. The guide was very fluent in both languages though.
Not more than OK

The tour was OK but not more than that. Mdina was very interesting, but we had a very short visit with only 30 minutes to walk around. Mosta was very beautiful. The catacombs were also nice. The botanic gardens and the factory shops were a waste of time. The tour was bi-lingual so we waisted half the time on explanations we didn't understand. The food at lunch was insufficient and not eatable. Better to take a tour only for Mdina and Mosta and to eat lunch even in the same restaurant but not with the tour.
