We’ll take a kayak adventure to beautiful Comino – exploring caves, crystal waters, gorgeous bays, beaches or rock formations (weather dependent)!
This experience is a half-day guided tour (10am - 1pm) from Gozo to Comino. We take 1 of 2 main routes: 1. the Blue Lagoon side or 2. the Santa Maria side. Both have amazing caves, bays and rock formations. Please understand that all tours are weather-dependent and not all areas/routes may be accessible. This tour is for beginners and experienced kayakers. Please tell us your experience when you book, so we can group you better with others.
The tour has 2.5 hours of kayaking with a 30 min break. In the break, you can swim, relax and explore on land!!
If needed, the guide will teach you the basics and make sure you feel comfortable! Basic swimming ability required.

- All participants must be able to swim at a basic level and everyone is required to wear a life vest at all times in the kayak.
- Children under 15 are required to be in a double kayak with an adult
- COVID-19 related measures subject to change depending on government regulations.
- Customer cancellations only permitted up to 24 hours in advance.
- Each guide is only permitted to lead a limited number of kayaks for safety reasons and to increase the quality of the tour. For this reason, availability may be limited.
- Gear/equipment sanitised between use
- Hand sanitiser available to travellers and staff
- Minimum group size of 2, solo kayakers may join existing groups.
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Please report any medical issues, heart problems, back problems, injuries, pregnancies, mental disabilities, asthma, vision or hearing impairments or other issues to us before booking. We do our best to accommodate people with disabilities or medical issu

- Paid stay-at-home policy for staff with symptoms
- Pregnant women are permitted to join the tours if they are in their 27th week or less of pregnancy at the time of the tour.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Hondoq Bay
This is our usual starting point for the Comino tour. Please note that it may change due to weather or other factors. Please read your messages before the tour and contact us if in doubt.
Here, we will set you up with the equipment and make sure you are comfortable in your kayak. You'll meet your guide and do a safety briefing. Then we set you on your way!

Blue Lagoon
From the starting point in Gozo, we then kayak to Comino Island (usually about 20 minutes). Sometimes we do a short paddle along Gozo first if you need a little time to practice!

We generally start with a short paddle along the Gozo coastline to get comfortable in our kayaks before our journey takes us across the Gozo Channel Comino! The crossing usually takes about 20min and is approx. 800m at the narrowest point. This is where the adventure really gets started!

Santa Marija Bay

San Niklaw Bay
Hidden around the corner from San Niklaw Bay is our favourite swimming spot. It is a hidden gorge only easily accessible by water. We lovingly refer to it as Urchin's Bay and it contains a wealth of marine life!

Santa Maria Caves
The Santa Maria Caves are found in the tall cliffs nestling on the east coast of Comino. Your tour will include the infamous Smuggler's Cave and others!

Can't speak well enough about this experience! Well done to the whole Kayak Gozo team for providing a welcoming and fun kayak trip. Undertook a journey to Camino Island, got to learn a bit about the history of the place and a few legends as well as see the stunning scenery. The staff were welcoming to all guests arriving and made sure to communicate as best as possible to all the clients of different nationalities speaking different languages.
A very safe and comfortable trip, well done team!

We were on a morning trip with Dawn and it was very nice. We were in a group with other people and she was our personal guide. She was very nice and she created a nice ambient. The tour was spectacular and they offered us a lot of options on our trip (individual, double, routes...) She has an amazing talent for people and she also could take some pictures of us during the trip.

Stu, our guide, was friendly and professional. He skilfully guided our group across to Comino yet found time to chat to everyone en route. The tour was perfectly tailored to our group’s ability so we were able to make an extra stop along the way (as we were ahead of schedule). We loved exploring the coves and caves both in and out of the kayak.

We had a great time with kayak gozo! Unfortunately we were ill on the day we booked but they were very accomodating and moved our session to the next day for us. The tour took us to some great spots and they provided great photos of our adventure. Thanks for the experience!

Our party of 6 (aged 18 to 61) of mixed abilities had a great time with Chris . He guided us well and we all felt safe at all times, Had a lovely swim in a secluded bay on Comino having explored the very busy blue lagoon on the way.

Absolutely amazing experience! Laurie was fantastic, friendly and the tour is easy enough for non experienced kayakers! It was my first time kayaking and I can’t wait to do it again. Amazing sights, plenty of guidance and great communication with the kayak gozo team from the beginning to the end. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Absolutely incredible experience, definitely a highlight of our time on Gozo, and that's saying something.
Chris and Ang were our tour guides, and they were brilliant. Professional, fun, and attentive. We were a fairly large group, but they knew all our names, and made sure we were all ok.
They took loads of pictures throughout the morning, all of which were brilliant and a great momento.
We (ambitiously) decided to try singles kayaks, and at one point I decided I wanted an extra dip in the sea. So, no panic, Ang helped me back into the kayak, she was really patient and talked me through everything I needed to do to get back in safely. And hurrah! I managed it. It was an extra part of the experience that was actually really fun.
Their safety briefing at the start is great, and the guides are so experienced and clearly very passionate about what they do. We never once felt unsafe, and in fact it was a really fun and relaxing experience being out in water that is so clear! We visited a couple of coves we wouldn't have found on our own, and even saw the Red Arrows fly over, as a bonus treat.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kayak Gozo, honestly it's one of the best experiences you can buy!
