Malta Sailing Experiences specialises in small-group bespoke sailing holidays and yacht charter experiences around the Maltese islands and beyond.
Our Half day charters are great for people who want a quick taster of life on a yacht.
There are options to go to one of 4 bays whaich can be discussed with your skipper. St Pauls Islands or Fra Ben Bay or Hoffriet bays or Balluta Bay.
You can also combine this with a harbour tour but this is best done on the evening charter and not on the morning one.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Experience may be cancelled due to Insufficient travelers
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
What To Expect

Half Day Itinerary Itinerary – In a 4 hour half day charter, there are a few options to experience.
• Journey to a nearby bay and enjoy the 4 hours unwinding on a yacht. We usually go south to Hoffriet, or north to Fra Ben, St Pauls Islands or to maximise time, closer to Balluta bay.
• Sail for 4 hours enjoying the adventure and getting a chance to take control of the wheel and explore the full sailing experience.
• Enjoy a short sail for an hour or two and then combine this with a harbour tour of the Grand Harbour at night. Quite spectacular and magical.
Your itinerary can be discussed on the day with your skipper.
Please note that Comino is not an option on a 4 hour trip and only an option on a full day charter. Food and drink is also not provided as part of the charter but you are always welcome to get your own on board.

We had an outstanding day, delivered by a most efficient company behind the scenes and a first rate skipper fronting our visit.
The boat was delightful: ample room and perfectly equipped for the day we had.
Particular thanks to the abundantly competent skipper, Ian, who was clearly the man in charge but with the people skills and wit to pitch his role exactly right. The upshot was a fabulous and most memorable day. Our sincere thanks to everyone involved.

Serene day out in the Mediterranean

We had the loveliest time. Ian was our skipper, a worldly seafarer who speaks as much philosophy as he does sailing. Thoroughly enjoyed swimming, paddle boarding (the boat came with two of them), and snorkelling with my friends (again, multiple snorkels on board). Spent the day out on the boat till sunset. Cannot recommend Malta sailing experiences highly enough - Patrick, the owner made sure we had everything we needed before and through our experience. If you're down in Malta, this is the only company you should sail with! Offbeat, local experiences that aren't tainted by the excessive tourism that's seeped into these parts.
3 Bays, nice Catamaran and perfect weather!

We were a group of 10 people and had a very nice time with our skipper Nathan and Molly. He showed us 3 bays which were hard to reach by car, so it was very quite and still beautiful. We also stopped at a bay where we could jump from the cliffs. The catamaran had everything what a group needs. We really enjoyed our trip! Best regards and all the best to them!

I booked this experience while visiting Malta as a stop on a NCL cruise in August 2022. The operator was great at communicating throughout my booking experience. We were a group of 8 ranging from preteens to adults and everyone had lots of questions which I communicated to the tour operator using the WhatsAPP app. He quickly got back to me and was even able to order food and drinks for us for our full-day sailing excursion.
On the day of the trip, we met our skipper at the boat. The boat was clean and well kept and the skipper was very kind and friendly. I believe it was the skipper's first day working for this company, yet he was very experienced. As we got underway, he gave us a history of Malta and took us to a very nice area to swim, paddleboard, and snorkel. After some time at the first stop, we asked to go to the Blue Lagoon. When we arrived there, it was pretty crowded and the skipper had a difficult time trying to anchor. Unfortunately after several attempts, we had to move to a different location. The other location was fine, but we would've liked to have been able to spend time at the Blue Lagoon.
Overall the experience was very nice and we enjoyed sailing the Malta waters. I highly recommend this experience for a day on the beautiful water.

Chartered a half day sail. All around great time. Had a nice sail with a great skipper (Michelle). No better way to experience Malta!

This is the second time we have been on a sailing experience with this company. This time we booked the whole day sailing experience. We met the skipper at the marina, then sailed to Gozo (stopped for a bit in a bay on the way there), had lunch at One80 (which was also great - food and views were lovely. Lunch wasn’t included in the sailing experience and we booked that separately). Then we sailed back.
It was really easy to book it all, the company is professional. The skipper was very knowledgable about the history and facts of Malta. We had such an amazing day! The weather was perfect and the boat is lovely (we sailed on Allegra). It’s a great day trip and good way to see a lot of Malta and Gozo in one day. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone.
